2012 “Talk with Tom” Schedule set for the Highlands

Thursday January 19, 2012

For Immediate Release:
Majority Caucus
Louisville Metro Council
Contact: Tony Hyatt 574-4137/526-3622

Councilman Tom Owen invites residents of District 8 to come out, have a cup of coffee and let him know about a problem or concern at “Talk with Tom”.

“Our agenda is the same as last year. You have a chance to have a very informal one on one conversation with me over a cup of coffee or tea” says Owen.

Councilman Owen announces the next four meetings of “Talk with Tom” as a way to bring government to the neighborhood, engaging citizens face-to-face, rather than the fast pace of telephones, e-mails, or the inconvenience of coming to his downtown Metro office.

“We have a lot of challenges coming up in 2012 and I want to know your concerns, thoughts and ideas of how you would like a leaner government to serve you” says Owen.

Tom will be at the following locations, so mark your calendars and stop on by for a hot cup and good conversation!

Saturday September 29
Highland Coffee 1140 Bardstown Rd. 9 a.m. - 11 a.m.

Saturday, October 27
Starbucks @ Highland Avenue

Saturday, November
24 Quills @ Baxter Avenue

For more information about the event, call Councilman Owen’s office at 574-1108 or e-mail at Terral.long@louisvilleky.gov.
