The Hallmark Neighborhood Association takes great pride in being a great place to live in Metro Louisville. That’s why Hallmark residents are among the many volunteers who will help Brightside pick up litter for the 2009 Spring Clean up on Saturday, March 28th.
“The folks in Hallmark have already made their plans to get out and make sure this Spring cleanup is a successful one,” says Councilwoman Mary Woolridge, (D-3).
The Association has 20 team members designated to clean from Algonquin Parkway to Wingfield Lane and from Dixie Highway to Beech Street. Hallmark is one of eleven groups in the District making up about 166 volunteers who will be out working in this event.
“When you think of all the storm damage this winter, it is encouraging that folks want to go a further step to make sure all of our community is free of litter and garbage.”
The other groups involved in District 3; Cane Run Elementary, Coca Cola, Darlene Drive Association, It’s a Family Thing, Liberty Tabernacle, The Shively Business Association, Standard Avenue Blockwatch, Strothers Senior Building and the West Louisville Block Association.
“These groups deserve our thanks for taking their time on a Saturday to show they care,” says Woolridge.
If you would like to join these groups in cleaning up District 3, contact Councilwoman Woolridge’s office eat 574-1103.
