Louisville – Councilman David Yates (D-25) and volunteers spent Monday morning cleaning up what had become a dumping ground for tires and other debris in the Windsor Forest area near Arnoldtown Road.

“We have had several complaints about this small ravine and while it might be hidden from the road, it can still be a dangerous health hazard to this area,” said Yates. “This is a problem many people unfortunately have to deal with; cleaning up a mess they didn’t create.”

With ropes and volunteers, the tires, litter and other debris were removed from the small ravine before the morning was finished.

“Illegal dumping is a top priority of the Metro Council,” said Yates. “I want to encourage anyone who see illegal dumping to report it so we can catch the people responsible and make those who are doing this, clean it up.”
