Councilman Deonte Hollowell (I-6) will conduct an important public meeting that could have an impact on traffic in the Old Louisville area involving the conversion of Brook and 1st Streets from one way to two way.
“Last fall Councilman Unseld funded a conversation study for the area,” says Hollowell. “It is important to review that study as well as hear what residents and businesses in the area have to say about such a change.”
The Councilman would like to review the study as well as here about safety issues involving the flow of traffic as well as the need for one way streets considering development of the University of Louisville Campus over the last 20 years. Hollowell would also like to hear how businesses and homes in nearby streets will be impacted.
“I invited those in favor of the idea and those who might have problems to come out and talk,” says Hollowell.
The meeting will take place at 6:00pm in the Meeting room of Memorial Auditorium on the second floor. The Auditorium is located at 970 South Fourth Street. For more information about the meeting, contact Councilman Hollowell’s office at 574-1106.Sponsor:
