Midwest Airlines Launches Nonstop Service to Milwaukee

Monday August 3, 2009

Daily nonstop jet service between Louisville, KY, and Milwaukee, WI, has resumed—establishing a vital link between Louisville and the Midwest.

“With this service, Louisville International Airport will offer nonstop jet service to 24 of the region’s top destinations,“ noted Mayor Jerry Abramson. “It clearly recognizes that Louisville is an important air service market and that airlines recognize the potential of our airport and community.”

“We’re thrilled to be back in Louisville,” said Greg Aretakis, Vice President of Planning and Revenue Management for Midwest. “This area has long been a popular destination for Midwesterners. At the same time, travelers from Louisville and western Kentucky will once again have quick and convenient access to our hometown of Milwaukee and cities throughout the Midwest.”

“This new service, a rarity in today’s aviation industry, will provide customers from across our region with enhanced access to important business and leisure destinations—a critical element to our community’s success,” said Phil Lynch, Vice Chairman of the Louisville Regional Airport Authority board.
