Mission
Working to improve the status of all women in Louisville Metro by becoming a partner with the community and a leader in women's issues.
Focus Areas
The focus of the OFW and includes women being served in a cUlturally competent manner and issues that affect women's:
- Physical and mental health;
- Social and economic well-being;
- Employment;
- Housing;
- Political involvement;
- Legal issues; and
- Safety issues such as domestic violence and abuse.
Issues and needs are assessed by on-going, extensive staff participation on various committees; relationships with women's organizations; direct contact with the community; research activities; speaking engagements; and direct calls from community members.
