The Healing Place: Groundbreaking Celebration
Women in Early Recovery are very different from men, physically, mentally and emotionally. And most of the time, they do not come alone. There are children involved, whether those children are with their mother or are absent because of her addiction. On May 15, 2008, board members, community leaders, and former & present clients gathered to celebrate the groundbreaking for the new Women's and Children's community of the Healing Place that will be located on 15th and Hill Street. After the construction, they will be able to serve almost twice as many women than they were previously able to serve on the old women's campus. More on this story...
