The Mayor’s Youth Service Worker Awards was created in 1998 to honor people in our community who go above and beyond working with youth. This Awards Ceremony has become a “signature” event in the eyes of the youth agencies. Each year, youth service providers look with great anticipation to this event as a time when they are all recognized and some of their peers are honored for the work they do.
This year, the event will be held on April 1, 2008, from 7-9pm at Memorial Auditorium. An exciting reception in the beautiful lobby of Memorial Auditorium will immediately follow the awards ceremony.
Dawne Gee, news anchor with WAVE-3, has generously offered her time and talent to emcee the event and Mayor Abramson will recognize the work done by the Youth Service Worker Award recipients.
