Welcome to the Westport Road Corridor Small Area Plan website.  This site will serve as the base for learning about the small area plan, the process, and updates to the plan.  If you would like to participate in the process and to stay up to date on the developments of the plan, please take a moment to explore the tools listed in the section below "Participate in the Plan."  Your participation will be an important contribution to the success of the plan. 

DRAFT VISION STATEMENT

The following draft vision statement reflects the work of the advisory group and other citizen input through the current planning process.  The statement will serve as guidance in the remaining process and will be a key feature of the plan document once adopted. 

"The Westport Road Corridor” is a vibrant group of neighborhoods working together to strike a balance between preserving their community identity and encouraging prosperous economic growth.  The area will be a safe and welcoming community for people of all ages.  Connected through open spaces and enhanced by multi-modal improvements to Westport Road, the corridor will center around village-like, walkable commercial districts that encourage the best practices of sustainability."

ANNOUNCEMENTS

Next Advisory Group Meeting
Date: January 27th
Time: 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM 
Site: Westport Middle School 
        8100 Westport Rd.
Purpose: This meeting will be the first meeting following the holidays for the advisory group.  There will be a report of the design workshop results and a more detailed discussion of recommendation alternatives.   The meeting is open to the public.
