Here are the roads that are closed in Jefferson County:
Public Works Road Closures:
5336-5342 Rollingwood Trail will be reduced to one lane beginning immediately (Wednesday, November 2, 2011) until further notice. No through traffic will be allowed.
8th Street between Washington St. & Main St. closed until further notice. The purpose of this road closure is due to safety concerns. No through traffic or parking will be allowed in this area during these times.
All of East bound Eastern Parkway is now open to through traffic. West bound Eastern Parkway between Bradley Ave. and Crittenden Drive will remain closed until further notice.
Eastern Pky between Crittenden Dr and S Preston St is closed until further notice. No through traffic will be allowed. The purpose of this Road Closure is for a water main break.
W. Washington Street between N. 1st Street and N. 2nd Street will be closed beginning immediately (July 22, 2011) until further notice. No through traffic will be allowed.
Avoca Road at North English Station Road will be closed to large trucks/through traffic beginning at 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 4, 2010 until further notice. Restricted to local traffic only, no large trucks/through traffic will be allowed. The purpose of this road closure is due to a slope failure.

Saturday, March 31, 2012 - Papa John's Ten Miler
6:30 am - 12:30 pm
- Central Avenue from Third Street to Fourth Street
- Central Avenue from Floyd Street to Third Street (Central Station traffic only)
- Third Street from Central Avenue to Southern Parkway
7 am - Noon
- Southern Parkway from Florence Avenue to Southern Heights Avenue
7:30 am - Noon
- Southern Parkway from Third Street to Florence Avenue
- Southern Parkway from Southern Heights Avenue to New Cut Road/Taylor Boulevard
7:30 am - 12:30 pm
- Floyd Street from Central Avenue to Boxley Avenue
8 am - 11 am
- Taylor Boulevard from Huntoon Avenue to Southern Parkway
- New Cut Road from Southern Parkway to Palatka Road
- Iroquois Park (all park streets)
No Parking Areas
5 am - Noon
- Third Street from Heywood Avenue to Southern Parkway
State Road Closures:
Indefinate closure of the Sherman Minton Bridge on I-64 in both directions. Click here for more information.
I-64 Ramp from Story Avenue to be closed temporarily

Widening Project to begin on KY 22 in Jefferson County

- Pothole patching, sweeping, drain & ditch cleaning, pavement marking, and maintenance crews may work on major interstates in the Louisville Metro area only during non-peak daytime hours and at night. Motorists should watch for roadside maintenance and pavement marking crews on interstates and highways throughout the rest of the district on a daily basis
