About Us
This division is comprised of three (3) separate specialized divisional units:
- Arborist Department
- Road Maintenance
- Vacant Lots
The division is responsible for many different maintenance activities such as, pavement and shoulder repairs, drainage within the right of way (outside the MSD service area), litter pick up, guardrail repairs, and tree maintenance within the right of way.
This unit is responsible and coordinates all Metro Louisville snow & ice removal operations utilizing other divisions and departments as partners. Operations and Maintenance also, clear storm damage debris from roads and right of ways of down trees and flood debris after events.
Also, the division cleans and mows vacant private properties in violation per ordinance as well as maintains metro owned vacant properties.
