Vehicle Impoundment
This division is responsible for towing and impounding vehicles in violation of Metro parking regulations, blocking streets or abandoned in the public right of way.
Vehicle Impoundment has 18 employees working together to keep our roads free and clear of abandoned vehicles left on the right of way.

Other Things We Do!
- Storage of vehicles involved in :
fatal accidents, arson investigations,
and other criminal activity.
- Public auction of unclaimed
vehicles. Every 1st and 3rd Monday of the month unless otherwise noted in calendar. (See Public Works Calendar for dates). Begins promptly at 10:00 a.m., bidding numbers are handed out immediately before auction begins.
