I'm Going to Kindergarten!

Get a free “I’m going to Kindergarten” T-shirt!!!
Just stop by Louisville Free Public Library location
now through August 5th.

  • Getting a T-Shirt is simple. Just bring your child to any branch of the Louisville Free Public Library and let library staff know how excited you are about the big step of entering kindergarten. That’s all there is to it.
  • If your child does not have a library card, it is easy to get one. New worlds will open to them.
  • Be sure to ask about preschool story time! The Library has tips for preparing children and their parents for kindergarten.
  • And be sure to sign up for the Library’s Summer Reading Programs while you are there.
  • Best of all, the library always has books kindergarteners really like to read.
  • Shirts are free thanks to the generosity of Mayor Jerry Abramson and Louisville Metro, Metro United Way Success By 6, and the Louisville Metro Community Action Partnership.
