Recycle Your Christmas Tree After the Holidays
Residents can recycle their natural Christmas trees, turning them into nutrient-rich mulch at no cost, following the holidays. Individuals can take their tree to a Louisville Tree-Cycling center on December 27th, 28th, 29th and again on January 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th.

Fight Identity Theft With A Free Shredding Event Saturday
Mayor Jerry Abramson is urging citizens to protect themselves from identity theft with a free shredding event this Saturday, October 30, 2010. The event will be held at 1032 Phillips Lane, across from the Kentucky Fair & Exposition Center from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Curbside Junk Pickup Underway in Urban Services District
Louisville’s Solid Waste Management division is encouraging citizens within the Urban Services District to check when they are allowed to set junk curbside ahead of their designated junk pick-up collection.

Yard Waste, Recycling Pickup Delayed by One Day Thursday and Friday
Residential pickup of yard waste and recycling will be delayed by one day on Thursday, May 20 and Friday, May 21 according to Louisville Metro Division of Solid Waste Management. Normal collection service will resume on Monday, May 24.

Abramson Announces Free Junk Drop-Off Day, April 11
Mayor Jerry Abramson today announced details of the city’s free, semi-annual bulk waste and junk drop-off collection day. On Sunday, April 11, Louisville residents may drop off bulk waste items from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. at the Waste Management Outer Loop Landfill, 2673 Outer Loop.
