Storm Debris Drop-off Available Saturday
Citizens left with limbs, branches and other debris following this weekend’s storms can haul their debris to Waste Management’s Outer Loop Recycling and Disposal facility, located at 2673 Outer Loop on Saturday, August 20th from Noon to 6 p.m. The cost is $15 per load.
Dates For Next Two Junk Pickups Available For Citizens in the Urban Services District
New dates are now available for the curbside junk collection service provided to residents of the urban services district (old city limits).
Citizens should watch for a postcard in their mailbox that will give detailed information about their specific junk set-out and collection dates. Dates are also available by using the updated MapIt tool at www.louisvilleky.gov or by calling MetroCall 311.
Metro Solid Waste Management collects junk, zone by zone, in 24 collection routes in the urban services district. Residents should remember that all items must be placed curbside during the designated set-out period (Friday-Sunday), with collection beginning the following Monday morning. Expanded Recycling Coming to Two Council Districts
Building on the success of a pilot business recycling program along Frankfort Avenue, Mayor Greg Fischer, Councilwoman Tina Ward-Pugh, and Councilman Tom Owen announced today that expanded recycling services will be available for businesses in the 8th and 9th districts and for residents in the 9th District.
