Launched in 1986 by Mayor Jerry Abramson. Brightside is uniting people in clean and green activities to beautify the city and foster community pride.
Brightside/UPS Community-Wide Cleanu

Nearly 6,000 volunteers have registered to participate in the Brightside/UPS Community-Wide Cleanup Saturday, November 7, 2009. Volunteers will clear tons of trash from streets, sidewalks and green spaces showing their civic pride in Louisville. Volunteers received free bags, gloves and a limited supply of t-shirts from Brightside to help in the clean and green initiative.
