Louisville's Public Art Collection

Louisville Metro possesses a rich and varied collection of public art with more than 300 works ranging from monumental outdoor sculptures to mosaic murals to fountains.

In order to care for the collection and make it accessible to all, COPA's two-year plan involves:

  • Completing a comprehensive inventory of the public art collection owned by Metro Government
  • Making the inventory available online
  • Developing a conservation and maintenance plan for the collection
  • Completing an investigation and comprehensive study to determine how to refine the collection

Louisville's public art database is being updated regularly, and can be viewed here.

A map of all public art also is available in order to know where to visit each piece.
