Economic Growth and Innovation
Greater Louisville Inc
Louisville Metro Government, through the Department of Economic Growth and Innovation, contracts annually with Greater Louisville Inc. - the metro Chamber of Commerce to perform economic development related work.
Greater Louisville Inc. was created in September 1997 through the merger of the Greater Louisville Economic Development Partnership and the Louisville Area Chamber of Commerce. In early 1998, GLI became a strategic economic development partner with Louisville Government. Also in 1998, GLI launched the EnterpriseCorp to assist and support fast-growth, entrepreneurial companies.
