Neustar, Inc. will create 150 new jobs

Greater Louisville Inc. – The Metro Chamber of Commerce and Mayor Jerry Abramson announced today that Neustar, Inc. will open a new operation in Louisville. The Sterling, Va.-based company is a leading provider of innovative solutions and directory services that enable trusted communication across networks, applications and enterprises around the world.

The new facility, to be housed in an 18,000-square foot space in the Hurstbourne Green Corporate Campus, is expected to create up to 150 jobs over the next three years. The Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority preliminarily approved Neustar, Inc. for state tax incentives up to $2,570,000 under Kentucky's new incentive program, the Kentucky Business Investment (KBI) Program.

The incentive, which is based on the initial creation of 68 full-time Kentucky jobs growing to 143 Kentucky jobs, can be earned over a 10-year period through corporate income tax credits and wage assessments.

“Neustar conducted extensive research and considered a large number of potential locations to establish a new support services facility,” said Randy Buffenbarger, Neustar vice president of operations. “We selected Louisville because the community presents access to a workforce with the education and skill-set that we need to provide the highest quality service and support to our customers.”

Neustar was founded in 1996 to meet the new technical and operational challenges of the communications industry when the U.S. government mandated local number portability The company’s services enable customers to manage critical activities such as record exchanges, subscriber growth, network optimization, content management and inter-network call origination and termination.

“Louisville has positioned itself as a city attractive to hi-tech companies – and Neustar’s announcement is another example of our success,” Mayor Abramson said. “These are good-paying jobs that help grow our economy.”

“This is an exciting development for our community, and one that fits nicely into the key technology sector of our economy,” said Joe Reagan, President and CEO of Greater Louisville Inc. “Our region’s workforce was a key component of the company’s decision to locate here, and the deal shows that a focused economic development strategy can produce big wins, even in a tough economy.”

Neustar will be holding a series of career fairs to begin filling positions that include legal compliance analysts, legal compliance administrators, senior support analysts, customer business analysts, customer service analysts and customer service support specialists. The career fairs will be held on Wednesday, November 4, 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. and on Thursday, November 5, 7 a.m. – 11 a.m. at the Holiday Inn Hurstbourne located at 1324 S. Hurstbourne Parkway.

For immediate consideration, applicants should apply on line at Neustar’s website: One-on-one interviews will be scheduled during the career fair hours.
