My Old Kentucky Homebrew Receives METCO Loan
Wednesday February 4, 2009
A new retail store that will provide the ingredients and equipment to help people brew their own beer has been awarded a small-business loan by Louisville Metro Government.
My Old Kentucky Homebrew, located at 1437 Story Avenue in Butchertown, is owned by Paul and Edward Young. A $40,000 forgivable loan from the Louisville Metro Business Development Corp. will help the company with start-ups costs.
The store will sell grains, hops, yeast and malt extract, among other things, and is expected to open later this year.
