Two local restaurants received small-business loans from Louisville Metro Government, including one preparing to open near the KFC Yum! Center.
A total of $150,000 in loans was approved by the Louisville Metropolitan Business Development Corporation, including:
· $100,000 loan to Aztecas 129, LLC, a Mexican restaurant located at 131 W. Main Street in the Whiskey Row development. The loan will allow the owners, Jesus De La Fuente, Juan Saul Garcia, Maria Teresa Perez and Paras Tiwari, to open the startup restaurant, creating another entertainment/restaurant venue near the KFC Yum! Center.
· $50,000 loan to the Colonnade Café, located on the first floor of the Starks Building at 455. S. 4th Street. The loan will allow owners Chester and Kenneth Krill to purchase equipment for the café and create working capital.
