ICIC Industry Cluster Analysis

This study updates the Initiative for a Competitive Inner City’s (ICIC)2001 West Louisville Competitive Assessment and Strategy, a report on West Louisville, and examines the Park Hill Industrial Corridor, specifically the industry cluster data.

Headed up again by ICIC, they studied cluster activity in West Louisville and revisited regional and West Louisville cluster rankings, based on changes of the local competitive advantage, especially land availability.

The cluster strategy will be updated for three priority clusters (medical devices; automotive; transportation and logistics) based on land availability, industry structure (e.g., technology, outsourcing) and national demand conditions. This study also will take into account the findings of the Real Estate Analysis of the Park Hill Corridor.

The study will identify ways to regional clusters with existing and emerging clusters within the Park Hill Corridor.
