Park Hill Corridor

The Park Hill neighborhood became a focus of study by city government after gaining ownership of the former Rhodia site, at 11th and Hill. This 16-acre site sits among industrial, commercial and residential property and when trying to redevelop it to its highest and best use, the City knew this could be a pivotal piece of property for the redevelopment of the entire surrounding neighborhood.

In gaining neighborhood and stakeholder support, the City has launched a master plan and implementation strategy to redefine a 1,400-acre industrial area with the ultimate goal of stimulating investment and economic development that will create jobs.

Louisville Metro was awarded a $200,000 grant from the EPA for a hazardous materials assessment in the Park Hill corridor.
