I am honored to have been chosen as the director for Louisville Jefferson County Emergency Management Agency/MetroSafe. Having been a part of our beginning as a phased project and now a professional public safety agency has been the highlight of my professional career. I am so very proud of the accomplishments of the men and women of EMA/MetroSafe who deliver high level professional service each and every day to both the public and public safety responders. Louisville Emergency Management Agency


The Louisville Metro Emergency Management Agency (EMA) is responsible for preparation, mitigation, response, and recovery from natural and manmade disasters through advance coordination with local, state and federal agencies. The agency follows the operational guidelines in the Emergency Operations Plan in disaster management.



All of Louisville's 9-1-1 call takers, dispatchers, and emergency management staff are operating out of one state-of-the-art facility: the MetroSafe building is located at 5th and Liberty Streets in downtown Louisville.
