Mayor’s Office Volunteer Special Events Team

Join in the excitement by becoming a member of the Mayor’s Volunteer Special Event Team.

It’s a great way to have fun and gain valuable experience. If you are looking to perform community service hours for school, work, fraternity or sorority or looking to expand your resume, you can help yourself while assisting with fun events for your community.

Volunteer opportunities include greeting guests, passing out t-shirts, carrying parade signs and collecting evaluations.

There will be a variety of informational booths offering resources for health, eating right, and living green. Featuring five of the forest’s thirteen trails providing a range of options for hikers of all abilities ranging in length from one-fifth of a mile up to five miles with terrain varying from rugged to relatively flat – including one that’s suitable for strollers.
