2 p.m., Run, Run Rudolph 5K run and walk (on 4th between Main and Market streets. View route)

3 p.m.-7 p.m.- Santa's Workshop (the lobby of KY. International Convention Center 4th and Liberty entrance)

4 p.m., Entertainment Stage Opens -(4th & Main streets)

4 p.m. - 10 p.m., Louisville Visitors Center will be celebrating Light Up Louisville

6:30 p.m., Light Up Louisville Parade - Shine Bright!, (4th Street between Liberty and Main streets; VIP bleachers near Main Stage)

Light Up Louisville Specials!

Louisville Visitors Center
In celebration of Light Up Louisville, they will have a free gift with purchases of $10.00 or more. Children accompanied by an adult will receive a special holiday surprise. In addition, they will selling specially designed Light Up Louisville & 40 nights of Lights sweatshirt. Various discounts will run on certain items at different times throughout the night.


Spirit of Louisville Special
Participants can park at the 4th Street Wharf and walk to this year’s event! The pre "Light Up" cruise boards at 4 p.m. and cruise from 4:30 p.m.-5:30 p.m. Tickets are $10. With the post "Light Up" cruise boards at 9pm cruise 9:30pm-11:30pm. Tickets are also $ 15. Visit

Muhammad Ali Center Special
Join the Ali Center on November 29th to celebrate the season with the opening of the “Once Upon A Holiday” exhibit! Initially, most of us likely connect the holidays with Christmas trees, wreaths, and mistletoe. But, in some cultures, Dragon Dances, Eid and Diwali are symbols of what bring life to the season. “Once Upon a Holiday” is a festive exhibit that showcases holidays around the world via life-size storybook pages and teaches visitors how various cultures celebrate the season.

On Friday, November 29 adults are admitted to the Ali Center for $4 and children under 12 are admitted for free all day! In addition to the admission discounts, there will be special pricing on select items in the Muhammad Ali Center Store as well as free hot chocolate and candy canes from 4-7pm. Visitors will also enjoy performances by Safiyyah Dance Group each half hour beginning at 4:00pm with the final performance at 6:00pm. These performances will take place in the Ali Center Main Lobby.

Sing N Joy will take place from noon-1:30pm at the Center on the 29th. Sing ‘n’ Joy International Choral Festival and Competition and Christmas at the Galt House Hotel will welcome people from across the globe to Louisville, KY over Thanksgiving weekend, November 29 through December 1, 2013. Community members and guests have a unique opportunity to take in the passion and commitment these choirs exude and to experience the entertainment and cultural value choirs bring with them from across the globe. Choirs will be performing traditional songs from their home countries, as well as classics, holiday songs and everything in between. However, if visitors would like to tour the Ali Center exhibits, they will need to pay admission to do so ($4 for adults; free for children 12 and under).
