Civil Service/Merit Board

The regular meeting of the Louisville Metro Civil Service Board will be held at 8:45 AM on Feb 10, 2010 at Memorial Auditorium, 970 S. 4th St., Louisville, KY 40203, to be followed by a hearing of an appeal of layoff.

Regularly scheduled meetings will also be held at Memorial Auditorium at 8:30 AM on Mar 9, Apr 13, May 11, Jun 8, Jul 13, Aug 10, Sep 14, Oct 12, Nov 9, and Dec 14, 2010.

The hiring process for some positions with Louisville Metro Government is governed by a merit-based hiring system. These Civil Service positions are ones in which individuals are hired on the basis of merit which is demonstrated by the use of competitive, job-related examinations. Employees hired under this system are covered by the respective Board and its Rules and Regulation.
