Building

The Building Division is responsible for monitoring permitted construction of new and existing buildings to ensure that work performed meets code and ordinance regulations. This division also provides technical assistance to other city agencies. This division inspects building, fire detection, fire suppression, moving, parking lot, signs, tents and wrecking permits.

Permit Required
Any owner or authorized agent who intends to construct, enlarge, remodel or change the occupancy of a building, or to erect, install, enlarge, alter, repair, remove, convert or replace any electorial, gas, mechanical or plumbing system the installation of which is regulated by this code, or to cause any such work to eCustomer Servicesbe done, shall first make application

to

the building official and obtain the required permit.

Other Cities

Inspection Required
Construction or work for which a permit is required shall be subject to inspection by the building official and such construction or work shall remain accessible and exposed for inspection purposes until approved.
