There are two Development Reports available online, Building Permit Summary and Building Permit Detail. The reporting application will allow you to request each of these reports for the reporting time periord you choose. You can choose a day, a week, a month, even a year. Choose the report type then enter a beginning date and the ending date of the report. Please note that the more time data requested will require a longer period for the data to be compiled into the requested report. Summary Reporting
The Building Permit Summary will produce a report that displays the numbers of permits issued for each Use Group classification of the structues permitted as defined by the Kentucky Building Code. Codes are used in the report, below is a list of the codes and the description of each.

Detail Reporting
The Building Permit Detail Report will produce a report that displays each permit issued on a seperate line. Items include the location, estimated cost, permit fee and other fields that will help describe the permit was issued. You can specialize this report to produce data specific to your needs. For instance you could get only the permits issued for new single family residences, or you could ask for all renovated apartment building permits.
In order to get these specialized reports you must understand the following tables to submit your requests.
Department of Commerce; this table describes in general what type of permit has been issued and whether it is a new or existing development. There are six possibilities.
