HVAC & Mechanical Fees

 Effective August 1st, 2009

1. The fee for HVAC installation, replacements and repairs in residential structures shall be as follows:
   
   
   1. The fee for the installation, replacement or addition of heating equipment shall be $35 per unit and will include up to two inspections.
      
      
   2. The fee for the installation, replacement or addition of cooling equipment shall be $35 per unit and will include up to two inspections.
      
      
   3. The fee for the installation, replacement or addition of combination heating and cooling equipment shall be $50 per combination unit and will include up to two inspections.
      
      
   4. The fee charged for the installation, replacement or addition of each manufactured fire place (solid fuel, gas or electric) shall be $35 and will include up to two inspections.
      
      
   5. The fee charged for a residential gas restoration as required by the utility company, shall be $35 per inspection.
      
      
   6. The fee for the installation, replacement or addition of a boiler shall be $35 plus $1 for each radiator or fin tube connector.
      
      
2. The fee for installation of HVAC equipment in structures other than residential shall be as follows:
   
   
   1. The fee for HVAC equipment shall be $35 for the first apparatus, $25 for each additional apparatus plus $1 for each duct opening.
      
      
   2. The fee for the installation, replacement or addition of a range hood shall be $75.
      
      
   3. The fee for the installation, replacement or addition of a chiller/cooling tower shall be $45 per unit and will include up to two inspections.
      
      
   4. The fee for the installation, replacement or addition of a commercial dryer shall be $35 and will include up to two inspections.
      
      
   5. The fee for the installation, replacement or addition of a roof top unit shall be $45 per unit and will include up to two inspections
      
      
   6. The permit fee charged for the installation, replacement or addition of each manufactured fire place (solid fuel, gas or electric) shall be $35 and will include up to two inspections
      
      
   7. The permit fee charged for the installation, replacement or addition of mechanical refrigeration equipment shall be $40 per compressor and will include up to two inspections.
      
      
   8. The fee charged for the installation, replacement or addition of a spray booth ventilation/exhaust system shall be $35 and will include up to two inspections.
      
      
   9. The fee charged for a commercial gas restoration as required by the utility company, shall be $40 per inspection.
      
      
3. The fee for any additional inspections not covered by the initial permit fee shall be $35. The Department shall have the right not to issue any additional permits to the applicant until the additional inspection fees have been paid in full.
