To find out about Business Opportunities funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, click on the links below to be directed to the procurement websites of your interest.

Family Health Centers and Park DuValle (through Family Health Centers) provide health care services throughout the community. They will be requesting proposals for various facility capital improvements, professional services, computer hardware, software and laboratory equipment.

Jefferson County Public Schools will have projects including training, facility upgrades, vehicles, and special programs. See the website referenced on this page for more information.

Louisville Metro Government uses the services of Onvia/DemandStar, an online bid advertising service which provides free access to Metro Louisville bids. Upon registration with Onvia, your company will be notified of all city bids in your company's field. Metro Louisville also maintains an electronic plan room, which posts all construction or construction-related bids and associated documents. All plans and specifications are available for viewing in the electronic plan room, and may be purchased for a minimal fee.
Additionally, hard copies of all Metro Louisville construction-project bidding opportunities may be viewed at The Louisville Enterprise Group, 2900 West Broadway, Louisville, Kentucky 40211. The Louisville Free Public Library allows free online access to all city information, including bidding opportunities. Metro Government will be requesting proposals on street rehabilitation, sidewalk repairs & new construction, energy efficient street and traffic light & systems.


Louisville Water Company will be constructing over 5 miles of transmission main along I-64 to provide regional water service to eastern Jefferson County.

Metropolitan Sewer District will be updating electrical service, emergency power and replacing seven pumps for the Western Pump Station.

Transit Authority of River City is updating their fleet maintenance facility, bus storage roof, installing electrical generators and purchasing hybrid buses for the fleet.

Commonwealth of Kentucky will purchase a wide variety of goods and services and capital contracts for many departments. Further details are available at the site listed on this page.

This new program, which will be administered by the Department of Transportation’s Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU), allows small and disadvantaged businesses to apply to be reimbursed for bonding premiums and fees incurred when competing for, or performing on, transportation infrastructure projects funded by ARRA. The program will be especially helpful for businesses with traditionally less working capital than larger contractors.
